9. 1968 Ford GT40 Gulf/Mirage Coupe
Yes, an American car made it to the list too! This car went for $11 million. This one was used for Steve McQueen's film Le Mans.
8. 1960 Ferrari 250 GT California LWB Competizione Spyder
$11.27 million for this attack of chrome. One of the only 9 made by Ferarri is super exclusive.
7. 1936 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster
Old Mercedes roadsters never go out of style. This symbol of luxury was auctioned at $11.77 million.
6. 1957 Ferrari 250 TR
A Gooding auction fetched the owner $12.4 million for this competitive racer.

$14.3 million for the first in class at the 24 Hours of Daytona. This was Ferarri's first mid-engine car.

At nearing twice the price of the 1957 Ferarri 250 TR Prototype, this one went for $27.5 million.
1. 1954 Mercedes-Benz W196R
This car was the winner at the 1954 German and Swiss Grand Prix, driven by the Grand Prix racer Juan Manuel Fangio. This car went at a staggering $29.7 million.
