Google trend is a big thing and helps businesses and individuals analyze the search patterns over the last year. 2015 is almost over and Google has come out with the search pattern once again, and the one relevant to us is the most searched cars in the gone year. While Google haven't revealed any global or India specific list, they revealed the top ten most searched cars in the United States.
The annual "Year in Search" report listed out a number of surprises and we analyze each of them. But first, here's the list in the descending order -
10. Hyundai Tucson
9. Lexus NX
8. Chevrolet Colorado
7. Jeep Renegade
6. Fiat 500X
5. Honda HR-V
4. Chevrolet Camaro
3. Toyota Tacoma

General Motors hits a sweet spot with 4 out of 10 searches related to Chevrolet cars. 2 searches each were made for Toyota group with a Toyota and a Lexus and Fiat group with a Fiat and a Jeep. 1 each search belonged to Honda and Hyundai. The Hyundai Tucson made a surprise entry on the list and the recent redesign made it garner a lot of attention.
Pick-up trucks are a big thing in the American market and this list shows us why. 3 trucks were on the list out of 10 cars - Chevrolet Colorado, Chevrolet Silverado and Toyota Tacoma. Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X will be sharing the same platform and are listed besides each other on the search index.
A lot of interest has been generated by compact crossovers not only in the U.S but also worldwide. The Honda HR-V cashed on it and gained a lot of attention. On the contrary to the compact crossovers, which are the next big thing, high-performance muscle cars have always been in demand in the US and the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro listing proves the fact.
The first place went to the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu sedan which came out as a surprise. The people are really excited about the car which is a big improvement over its predecessor. We will be real excited to know what all cars were searched in India, but until such list comes, you can make a guess and tell us about a list.
Out bet would be on the Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai Creta!
