Top Scooters that stole the limelight at the AutoExpo 2016 – Part 1

Snapshot: Scooter industry is currently the fastest growing industry in India and two-wheeler companies are aligning themselves to compete fiercely in this market.

Well this year’s AutoExpo can undoubtedly be said as one of the most electrifying expo especially for scooters. Manufacturers like Vespa, Aprilia, TVS and many more unveiled their showstoppers scooters at the expo and we have made a list to give a glimpse of the same. Scooter industry is currently the fastest growing industry in India and two-wheeler companies are aligning themselves to compete fiercely in this market.

1.       Aprilia SR 150

The iconic Italian manufacturer surprised us by unveiling their first scooter for the Indian market. The SR 150 unlike other offerings in this segment promises to thrill by its aggressive design and punchy engine. This sensational design will be seen on Indian roads very shortly and we expect it to fall in the range of INR 80 – 90,000. You can click here for more details of the Aprilia SR 150.

2.       TVS EntorQ

Apart from unveiling their alluring race concepts motorcycles like the Akula 310 and X21, the Hosur based motorcycle maker also came up with their scooter concept the EntorQ. The concept scooter carriees vibrant looks and ahead of its time design. It comes loaded with 14-inch high profile design and a CVT transmission. We expect the production version of it to be different carrying not so much of the glamour as seen on the concept model.

3.       Peugeot Django

Another scooter that proved to be the most interesting of them all was the Peugeot Django. The scooter carries the old-school iconic looks and comes with a 125cc air-cooled, 4-stroke engine and is equipped with disc brakes both at the front and the rear. Its fat seats and small windscreen is designed to ease the high speed cursing.
