Top Scooters that stole the limelight at the AutoExpo 2016 – Part 2

In the previous part we told you about the new Aprilia SR 150, TVS EntorQ and the Peugeot Django. In this part we shortlisted some more scooters that turned most heads at the Autoexpo 2016. Manufacturers like Suzuki, Mahindra and Yamaha updated their current product list with facelift versions and below are few of the crowd pullers from this year’s expo.

1.Suzuki Access 125

Suzuki Motorcycles India took the centre stage at the expo by introducing the heavily updated Access 125. Over-all the scooter has now been updated strongly with refreshed chromed looks. The scooter now look more elegant and sedate compared to the older version. The scooters is now also offered in optional ABS and disc brakes. While underneath the body the engine remains the same 125cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, single cylinder engine that mates with a CVT transmission and churns out 8.7bhp and 10.2Nm of peak torque. The scooter now also comes with multi-reflector headlamp that will ease night riding by lighting up the road brighter. 2.       Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR

Yamaha Motors India updated the current Ray scooter with the facelift christened as the Cygnus Ray-ZR. The scooter comes with flashy graphics and has a certain musculan appeal to it. This is another male centric scooter from two-wheeler manufacturers in Indian market. It has been featured with a new instrument cluster and it retains the same old 113cc engine but Yamaha has decided to give it the Blue Core Technology that will benefit its engine and economy performance overall.

3.       Peugeot Speedfight

Apart from showcasing their grandmaster, Django. The French automaker also showcased the Speedfight, which is a light, zippy and flashy scooter from Peugeot. It comes with a 124.8cc, a 4-stroke engine mated to a CVT transmission. It comes with hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorber at the rear. It also features combined braking system that is linked with the disc brakes both the front as well as rear.
