Everyone wants to own a Supercar yet only a handful of them have the money to buy them. But we bet, number of Supercar manufacturing setups are way more in number than the number of buyers actually. Every now-and-then a Supercar manufacturer sprouts-up in hope to make it big in the automotive market. But only a few are lucky like Scandavania based Koenigsegg.
While Koenigsegg is based out of Sweden, a new startup from Finland is promising a new electric Supercar named Toroidion 1MW electric car, that will be unveiled in Monaco in April at Top Marques Monaco and will hope to replicate the success of its Scandavanian twin. While most of the Supercars are conventionally powered, the Toroidion is an all-electric Supercar.
Toroidion is aiming to match the power output equivalent to Koenigsegg One's 1340 horsepower. Toroidion has named the car 1MW which is a shorthand for one mega-watt, the vehicle's projected metric output. While the company has revealed the silhouette teasers of the Supercar, we don't know much of the details.
One megawatt of power is exactly equal to 1341 hp which is exactly the same amount as the Koenigsegg One:1 which is powered by a twin turbo V8 5.0 litre engine. As much as we are excited about the product, we hope the product doesn't die like some of the other brilliant startups. Making an electric Supercar is indeed a noble project, we can bet!
