Toyota Innova Crsyta has been doing wonders for the the company ever since it was launched in India. According to the latest reports, it has recorded over 20,000 bookings and attracts a waiting period of three months. Furthermore, the flagship 2.8L Z AT variant has accounted for 60 percent of the overall bookings. For those asking, Toyota Innova Crysta 2.8L Z AT is priced at Rs. 20.78 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Mumbai). In addition, the Camry continued its growth spree and 90 percent of it is contributed by the Camry Hybrid.
Speaking on the same, Mr. N. Raja, Director & Sr. Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said "We launched the Innova Crysta last month and have received an overwhelming response from our customers. We would like to thank our customer for their trust in Toyota. The Innova Crysta has a waiting period of 2 to 3 months and we would request our customers to be patient with us so that we can bring the best products to them. We respect the honorable court’s judgment regarding cleaning the bad air quality around us. We would fully support the authorities for creating a better environment for our future generations. We are confident that honorable court will consider our submissions during the next hearing in July and hope the matter is suitably resolved at the earliest."
Speaking of the Innova Crysta 2.8L Z AT, it is powered by the newly-developed 2.8L GD diesel engine which develops a maximum power of 172bhp and peak torque of 360Nm. It is linked to a 6-speed automatic transmission, while it returns a promising mileage of 14.29kmpl (ARAI Specified). Though, the Japanese automaker also offers a less powerful 2.4L GD diesel engine with the MPV which churns out 147bhp and 343Nm, while paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is also being learnt that Toyota would introduce the petrol variants of the Innova Crysta in the coming months due to the ban imposed on the sales of diesel vehicles with engine capacity more than 2000cc in Delhi-NCR by the NGT bench of Supreme Court. The production of the petrol variants is said to be commencing from July 18, 2016.
