Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. (TKM), the subsidiary of the Japanese auto giant Toyota has announced the appointment of Mr. Noami Ishli as the new Managing Director of TKM. The formal appointment of the new MD will be made at the meeting of the Board of Directors of TKM, scheduled on 6th Jan 2014. The current MD & CEO of the company, Mr. Hiroshi Nakagawa will move back to Japan.

Naomi Ishii has spent more than two decades at Toyota Motor Corporation primarily in Human Resources and Business Planning Divisions. He currently looks after the Product & Business Planning divisions as General Manager in TMC.

Country's fourth largest carmaker, Toyota Kirloskar Motor entered the Indian market in a joint venture with the Kirloskar Group in 1997, with production started in 1999. Toyota holds 89% in the equity participation of the company. The company has its products in almost all the major segments starting from compact hatchbacks, SUVs to premium cars. Toyota Innova and Etios series are the most successful products of the company in India.
