The Japanese automaker, Toyota, today declared its total sales for the last month. The company sold a total of 11,284 units including domestic and export sales in February 2014 with a decline of 19.3 per cent to the previous year sales. last year, Toyota sold 13,979 units for the corresponding month out of which 12,756 were domestic buyers while the rest was export share.

As we all are well aware that business year 2013 has brought nothing fruitful for the automobile Industry in India. Cemented by the fact that first time in a long span of 11 years, Indian automobile Industry has witnessed a decline of 10 per cent in year 2013.
However, recently announced interim budget 2014 gestated good signs in favor of automobile industry as Govt. reduced the excise rates for all passenger car segments. Mr. N Raja, Senior Vice – President of Toyota, Sales and Marketing said “The excise duty cut was a welcome step taken by the Govt to revive sale. However, other factors like high interest rate, falling rupee and unstable fuel pricing still loom large in the market."
Toyota is also due to launch new 2014 Corolla Altis and Etios Cross in the Indian market which both are supposed to reach the outlets before the mid of 2014.
