Toyota Kirloskar sales dive 3 per cent in June

Snapshot: The newly launched Corolla Altis & Etios Cross have been received well in the market, the company claims.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported a 2.97 per cent decline in total sales at 13,394 units in the month of June. The company had sold a total of 13,805 units in the same month last year. 

In the domestic market alone, the company sold a total of 12,010 units in the month of June, which translates to a growth of 9 per cent as compared to 11,010 units in June 2013. The company exported a total of 1,384 units of the Toyota Etios. 

Commenting on the sales performance, N Raja, senior vice president of sales and marketing said that the newly launched Corolla Altis and the Etios Cross have been well received by the market. “We received more than 5,400 total booking orders for the Etios Cross and more than 3,000 for the Corolla Altis.” He further added, “The company is working to reduce the waiting period for both the car models.”
