Toyota Kirloskar Motors have reported a 4.30 per cent decline in total sales at 13,847 units in the month of July 2014. The company had sold 14,470 units in the year ago period.
In the domestic market alone, Toyota registered sales of 11,921 units in the month of July, which is up by 3.52 per cent when compared to 11,515 units sold in July 2013. The company has also reported to have exported 1,926 units of the Toyota Etios sedan out of the country.
Commenting on the sales performance, N Raja, senior vice president of sales and marketing said, “We would like to thank our customers for the continuing success of the newly launched Corolla Altis and the Etios Cross. Both the Corolla Altis and the Etios Cross have been well accepted by the customers. We sold 882 units and 888 units of the Corolla Altis and the Etios Cross respectively.
“The Toyota Innova and the Fortuner SUV also continue to maintain leadership position in their respective segments. We look forward to a further improvement in customer’s purchasing sentiments with the beginning of the festive season.” N Raja added.
