Toyota launches its First Driving School in Tamil Nadu

Today, Toyota announced the launch of its first “Toyota Driving School” in the state of Tamil Nadu at Chennai and fourth in India. The first driving school was opened in March 2015 in Lucknow, followed by openings in Hyderabad and Kochi. This school will be managed by the company’s leading dealership - Lanson Toyota. The company aims at creating a strong road safety sense amongst the drivers, and encourage them to adopt safer driving practices.

Some of the crucial highlights of the curriculum include traffic management, rules and discipline, manners and responsibilities of a driver, safe and right driving concepts, simulation of driving on real vehicle before getting onto road, aspects of practical driving on the road, driving on various road and climate conditions, basic maintenance and repairs of your vehicle, systematic evaluation and feedback, emergency handling. The training module will integrate technical expertise along with enhancing behavioural skills to create awareness about safety nationwide.

The key part of the teaching program will be the simulator that will provide hands on experience and Learners can practice all car controls like steering, accelerator, brake and gear shift before they take the actual vehicle on the road. It can create various weather and road conditions like dim light, fog, uphill and downhill terrain.
