Toyota officially teased the first image of the 2016 Toyota Innova that will make its Indian premiere at the Auto Expo 2016. Toyota Innova is one of the most important product on slot by Toyota Kirloskar Motor. The brand will also systematize a contest for existing Innova owners, titled “Heritage of Innova Wall”. The new Innova gets major styling changes, is bigger and it looks modern compared to the outgoing version.
In Indonesia, The second generation 2016 Toyota Innova is available in three variants – G, V, and Q. Where the top-ranging model offers LED projector headlights, a touchscreen entertainment system, steering-mounted controls, automatic climate control, two driving modes (PWR and ECO), and alloy wheels. It measures 4,735 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width and 1,795 mm in height, while retaining the same wheelbase of its predecessor at 2,750 mm.
As of now, the The 2016 Innova is made and sold only in the Indonesian market. It is powered by Toyota’s all-new 2.4-litre GD diesel engine dishing out 149 PS of power and 342 Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre VVT-I petrol unit delivering 139 PS and 187 Nm of torque. Both the units are available with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic in the Indonesian market. This is due to the ongoing ban on diesel engines above 2,000 cc in NCR, the brand is poised to introduce petrol and diesel variants of the 2016 Innova.
Being the most important product by Toyota, it will launch later this year and is expected to be a bit pricier than its ongoing model.
