Toyota India has unveiled the all-new Innova MPV - named as Innova Crysta - at the ongoing 2016 Auto Expo. The Innova Crysta comes with an all-new developed frame, an all-new engine and for the first time an all-new 6-speed automatic transmission. The Japanese automaker has offered the trio of ABS, EBD and BA as standard safety features across the entire MPV line-up.
As for features, the new MPV would come loaded with Smart Entry System with Start/ Stop Button, Easy Closer back door, Automatic Climate Control with Rear Auto Cooler, 7-inch infotainment system with Navigation, Cruise Control, Power driver seat, 1-touch tumble 2nd row seats, 1-touch 3rd row space up seats, and Front seat with easy slide from rear.
The new Toyota Innova Crysta is built on a new platform called ‘Toyota New Global Architecture’ (TNGA) which is stiffer and lighter than the platform underpinning the existing model. It measures 4735 mm length, 1795 mm height, 1830 mm width with a wheelbase of 2750 mm, the new-generation Toyota Innova 2016 appears bigger and more spacious than its predecessor model. Just like the current version, the new Toyota Innova Crysta will also feature captain seats in the second row and a flat third row.
Talking about the engine, the Innova will be packed in diesel guise with the company's new 2.4-litre GD diesel engine at the helm. It would deliver a maximum power of 147 bhp and peak torque of 360 Nm. The diesel engine would be available with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, while a 6-speed automatic transmission will be on offer as an option.
