Toyota Yaris brochure leaked ahead of its launch

Earlier, we informed you that Toyota will launch the Yaris sedan in India on May 18. The new sedan will compete with the likes of the Honda City and the Hyundai Verna in the Indian passenger car market. All Toyota dealers across the country has officially started accepting bookings for the Yaris at a token amount set at Rs 50,000. A leaked brochure has surfaced online ahead of the model’s India launch that reveals the details about it. Toyota will offer the Yaris sedan in three manual and four automatic variants. More interestingly, the car will offered with seven airbags as a standard feature across all its variants.  

Mechanically, the car will be offered in petrol fuel option only – a 1.5-litre petrol engine that would crank out 106bhp of maximum power with 140Nm of peak torque. The engine will come paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-step CVT automatic transmission. Moreover, you can chose from a seven different exterior paints.

Toyota Yaris Variant Wise explained as per Brochure Leak-

The J variant of the Toyota Yaris will come packed with seven airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, body-coloured wing mirrors and door handles, halogen headlamps with projectors, power mirrors, driver's seat height adjust, all-four power windows, manual controlled ac, keyless entry, cooled glovebox, instrument cluster with LCD multi info display, four-speaker audio system, rear armrest and tilt steering. The G variant would come with chrome trim on grille, front and rear foglamps, power folding mirrors with integrated turn indicators, 7.0 inch infotainment system with four speakers, Instrument cluster with TFT multi info display, steering-mounted audio controls, push button start, dual rear parking sensors and rear defogger.

The higher variant, V of the Yaris sedan gets Automatic headlamps with follow me home feature, 7.0 inch infotainment system with six speakers, Cruise control, Rain sensing wipers, 15-inch alloy wheels, four wheel disc brakes, taillamps with LED inserts, and Dual front and Quad rear parking sensors.

The top-of-the-line VX version will come loaded with features like LED daytime running lamps, chrome trim on door handles, 7.0 inch AVN infotainment system with six speakers, leather seat upholstery, paddle shifters on the CVT variant only,  eight-way electrically powered driver seat adjustment, hill-start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system and rear sunshade.

The Toyota Yaris sedan is expect to fall in a range of Rs 8.5 lakh to 13.5 lakh (Ex showroom) and will be manufactured at Toyota’s facility in Karnataka that will be heavily localized to keep the price in check.
