Toyota Yaris being offered with Rs 30,000 cash discount plus Rs 10,000 exchange bonus.
Discount can go up to as much as Rs 1.4 lakh.
TKM employees offered up to Rs 3.5 lakh discount plus 0 per cent finance.
The Toyota Yaris isn’t meeting expectations, and the company is resorting to varied methods to try and shift examples. As a regular customer, you can get a discount of Rs 30,000 on the sticker price of the car, and you can add a Rs 10,000 exchange bonus to that if you trade in your old car to the dealer. Some of the discounts can be really big – as much as Rs 1.4 lakh – if you choose wisely, say, if the dealer has a 2018 example lying in stock.
However, if you’re an employee of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, you’ve got a surprisingly good scheme that you can avail. Toyota is offering its employees a massive Rs 3.5 lakh off on the Yaris, along with 0 per cent finance, provided you choose a Yaris manufactured in 2018. The loans offered are up to Rs 5 lakh for a maximum period of 7 years. In case the employee needs a higher amount, the interest rate is set at 9.05 per cent. Since this is a stock clearing exercise, the offer will apply to whatever example of the Yaris happens to be in stock at that particular location.
The Yaris is offered with a single engine option, 1.5-litre petrol that generates 106bhp and 140Nm. It is mated to either a manual gearbox or a CVT. It has a lot of kits, especially in terms of safety – all trims offer disc brakes all around, ABS/EBD, tyre pressure monitoring, ESP, traction control, hill hold assist, parking sensors and ISOFIX anchor points. The Yaris competes with the likes of the Honda Civic, and SUVs like the Kia Seltos and Nissan Kicks, in the Indian market.
