A few months ago, everybody in the motorcycling community got super excited at Triumph and Bajaj announcing. Now hang on to your chair as Paul Stroud, Director Sales, Triumph Motorcycles, has told PTI that partner motorcycles will be out by 2021. The information was released at EICMA 2017 where all major motorcycle manufacturers have yet again surprised the world press by mouth watering products. All of them know 150-500cc segment is mostly where all the action is nowadays. So expect Triumph-Bajaj products to be placed in at superb value-for-money bracket. Triumph is a genius when it comes to lightweight easy to handle beautiful sounding motorcycles and Bajaj is an expert on pricing strategy.
The commercial agreement is still in works between the two giants, but preparations have already been made for developing India related products. On the prospect of who will hold the emblem on all these bikes, Stroud commented that will be Triumph. The dealership channel will be Triumph and service as well. The way we see, it is a win win for both these brands. Triumph will be able to reach a wider audience with more affordable bikes, and Bajaj will have access to a lot of development research. On a more serious note, hope they’re able to train those pesky ‘bagga link’ mechanics how to take care of motorcycles of all shapes and sizes. Bajaj now has two all-time great motorcycle brands as its associates, KTM and Triumph, all that is need is that conviction to make exciting products and deliver even better after sales.
