Triumph Motorcycles is all set to launch its new classic cruiser Bonneville Speedmaster in India on 27th February. This comes as part of the British motorcycle manufacturer’s strategy to roll out three new models here in 2018. While the Bonneville Speedmaster is the one, other two will be from the Tiger adventure series range with engine capacity of 800 cc and 1,200 cc respectively. The upcoming Bonneville Speedmaster has already garnered pretty good attention here and Triumph is expecting good response with this model.

Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster will join the modern cruiser family of the bikemaker and it will strengthen the brand’s cruiser lineup where there are models like Thunderbird Storm and Rocket III. The upcoming Bonneville Speedmaster is going to be much more affordable compared to the other cruiser models from the brand available in India. Expect the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster to be priced at around Rs. 10 lakh.

The retro styled masculine looking motorcycle comes based on the Bonneville Bobber and it gets an appearance that looks like a blend between a cruiser and a bobber. The motorcycle gets power from a 1,200 cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that is well capable of churning out 76 bhp of peak power at 6,100 rpm and 106 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. Transmission duty is done by a 6-speed gearbox and there is a torque-assist clutch ensuring smooth shifting.

Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster gets several advanced technologies to ensure a high quality ride experience. It gets Road and Rain riding modes, switchable traction control, single button cruise control system, dual-channel ABS etc. Apart from that, there are LED headlamp with LED daytime running light, low positioned rider seat etc. Upon launch, this motorcycle will challenge the likes of Harley Davidson models ranging between Rs. 9 lakh and Rs. 12 lakh.
