The British motorcycle brand made headlines recently with the launch of its new Street Triple RS motorcycle and now the company has inaugurated its new mobile dealership concept in order to reach the semi-urban locations in the country. Such dealership will be offering the entire range of the Triumph bikes which are present in India. It will tour in many of the Tier-II and Tier-III cities which do not have access to big bike dealerships. Apart from reaching semi-urban areas, the company currently operates 14 showrooms across major Indian cities and has a plan to increase the same number to 17 by the end of this year.
According to Vimal Sumbly, MD, Triumph Motorcycles India, “With the market having recovered from the adversities of demonitisation and better disposable incomes on account of 7th Pay Commission and on the back of a generally good monsoon, the company is looking to fulfil the dreams of the enthusiasts in the smaller towns, who yearn for a rounded premium motorcycle experience, along with premium merchandise, where Triumph, aims to introduce more technical apparel to suit the rider’s need.”
“We will be releasing a concrete schedule and specific coordinates where the van would be stationed and prospective customers and enthusiasts in these towns could then experience and book their bikes through these dealerships”, he added.
