Triumph India has finished 2014 in style by selling over 1300 motorcycles in its first year. However, globally, the story is entirely different as it has emerged as the highest motorcycle seller. The company was re-launched around 3 decades back and since then, it hasn't looked back. Triumph sold around 54,432 units of its motorcycles across the globe in the last financial year.
Paul Stroud, Director, Sales & Marketing, Triumph Motorcycles India, said, "India has played a crucial role in contributing to the overall sales figures for Triumph." Mr. Stroud further added that he, positively, believes that leisure motorcycling as a whole is gaining popularity once again. The previous record for selling maximum number of bikes in a financial year was made by Triumph only when it sold around 52,089 units of its motorcycles in 2013, and it bettered it in 2014 by 4.5 percent by selling around 54,432 bikes. Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycle India, revealed that Triumph has received good response from its customers in its very first year here in India.
Triumph is continuing with its investment plans in India and Brazil to increase sales amid challenging economic conditions. The British brand is currently present in ten cities across India, offering high capacity motorcycles across segments. Internationally, Triumph sells 28 different models and is present across 57 different countries through a wide network of 745 dealers.
