Triumph Motorcycle is all set to launch its Thruxton R in the domestic market on June 3, 2016. The Motorcycle was first unveiled at Auto Expo 2016, along with Bonneville T120 and Street Twin, priced at Rs 8.70 lakh and Rs 6.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. The new Thruxton R has received completely new styling along with some mechanical upgrades.
The new Thruxton R comes equipped with a liquid cooled, 8 valve, SOHC, parallel twin, 1200cc engine that could produce a maximum power of 96 bhp at 6,750 rpm and a peak torque of 112Nm at 4,950 rpm. When compared to its previous model, it produces 41 percent more power and 62 percent more torque.
It other features includes a front suspension of Showa 43mm USD big piston forks, fully adjustable 120mm travel and a rear suspension of Fully adjustable Ohlins twin shocks with piggyback reservoir, 120mm rear wheel travel. Powering its brake is a Brembo twin 310mm floating discs Brembo 4-piston radial monobloc calipers at the front, while at the rear it a Single 220mm disc, Nissin 2-piston floating caliper with ABS system. The expected price tag of the bike is between Rs 9.5 lakh to 10.5 lakh.
