Triumph Trophy on its way to India?

Indian superbike market is revving high these days and all of the major manufacturers are turning their head towards Indian motorcycle market. Recently Ducati re-entered India and Benelli partnered with DSK for its business in Indian states. Also the ultra-premium sports bikes manufacturer MV Agusta shook hands with Kinetic for its future launches in India.

Now taking you straight to the point Triumph India might be looking to introduce their heavy weight sports tourer Triumph Trophy in Indian market soon. Trophy is already available in the international bike market and is considered to be among one of the best sport tourers motorcycles. It is based on a liquid cooled, 12-valve, in-line triple, 1,215cc engine which delivers 133bhp of power and 120Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission with a tall sixth gear’s range for comfortable highway cruising.

Triumph Trophy is equipped with features such as ABS, electronic suspensions for a hassle free ride and highly advanced traction control system for high safety. Other features includes tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Bluetooth audio system with a pair of 20W speakers, with digital signal processing and 3-band equalisation, and automatic volume control. Being equipped with all this and much more, Triumph Trophy will be priced on a higher side with a price tag of around INR 20 to 23 lakhs.
