TVS Akula 310 and X21 concept explained in detail
Snapshot: We are mesmerized to see the two new concepts from TVS, are you?
The Hosur based motorcycle maker has really blown us away with their futuristic concepts that are shown today at the Autoexpo 2016. The two major head turners from TVS include Akula 310 and X21 concepts.Talking about the Akula 310, it is the first ever fully faired motorcycle made by TVS. It is a dedicated track tool for beginners and is fully wrapped in carbon fibre body that has given the concept a devilish stance.
The bike has developed taking the G310R as a base that means it propels a liquid cooled 313cc single cylinder engine that is good enough to produce 34bhp of maximum power and 28Nm of torque. The engine has been mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Apart from this powerful engine, the bike has also been equipped with a fully adjustable suspensions and a steering damper to ease and adjust its use according to tracks. We absolutely loved the Akula 310 and we hope that the Hosur based manufacturer brings down the concept to the production version as soon as possible.
Now speaking of the smaller X21 concept, this bike has been built taking RTR 200 4V as a base. Not only the engine but X21 utilizes the same double cradle frame as the RTR 200 4V. It has been built to pay tribute to the MMRT, the Madras Motorsport Race Track and is also painted with decals similar to the track’s layout. Reports say that the X21 is not a street legal motorcycle so it’s not really clear if it will ever make into production or not.
Stay tuned as we bring you more from the AutoExpo 2016.
