After a long wait, the TVS Apache RR 310 is finally up for its mega launch today. Since the first time the Akula 310 concept was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, the anticipation level shot higher, more so because of the number of spy images, both covered and uncovered that appeared, thereby giving a glimpse of how much of a beast it looks like.
Being the flagship model of TVS, the Apache RR 310 will get some amazing goodies like a dual LED projector headlamps cluster, fully-digital instrumentation, upside down front fork, big mono-shock rear suspension and a big fairing covering the entire front portion. The clip-on handlebars and the beefy front tank section means the ergonomics will be extremely sporty, despite being comfortable for everyday riding as well.
Under the hood, the new TVS Apache RR 310 will be using the same powerplant engine that is used for the international BMW G310R. The 313-cc engine would be capable of making a maximum power of 34 bhp against a maximum torque of 28 Nm. The transmission duties would be done by a 6-speed gearbox.
Despite having the same engine as the international-spec BMW, the new TVS Apache would boost on a higher top speed with all the fairing and sharper aerodynamics. As for the pricing, it could be an affordable alternative to the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 300 and KTM RC390. We are expecting it to flaunt a tag of around Rs. 1.7 lakhs.
Stay tuned for more updates as this new beast gets the green signal today.
