The Hosur based motorcycle maker already took ages to come up with the 200cc version of its famous Apache motorcycle and now reports suggests that the deliveries of the same will commence only by April this year. The dealers are still clueless about the arrival of the first batch of the motorcycles which was earlier planned for February last week and so TVS dealers has not yet started accepting booking for the same.

The bike was launched in the first month of January 2016 along with Victor. The bike is seen having drawn inspiration from TVS-Draken concept which was showcased for the first time at the 2014 AutoExpo. Also it is available in two variants, one which is the carburetted version and other the FI version. The carburetted Apache RTR 200 4V costs Rs 88,990 while the fuel-injected version is priced at Rs 1.08 lakh. The bike is also offered in two tyre options including TVS and Pirelli tyres.

Being equipped with a 197cc single cylinder 4-Valve engine that churns out around 19.8bhp of maximum power (carb version) and 20.5bhp of power (FI version), the engine delivers 18.1Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. Instead of 6-speed transmission, TVS has opted for a 5-speed gearbox. This is the fastest Apache motorcycle ever made by TVS and the company claims a 3.9 seconds timing in 0-60km run which is impressive.
