Launched yesterday, the Apache RTR200 4V currently plays in a segment which virtually no rival to match it credentials in the 180-200cc naked street bike segment under INR 1.10 lakh, is expected to bring in good numbers for its maker TVS. It is being reported that TVS expects that the Apache RTR200 4V should do around 7000 units sale per month one the bike gets its scheduled launch pan India in next couple of months.
The bike is available in 4 colours, all of which are in matt finish and currently two variants are on sale, one with a fuel injected heart, while the other being a standard carburetted affair. Then, there are options to choose from two different sets of tyres too, one being a newly developed TVS Remora tyres while the other one being a slightly premium Pirelli set consisting of a Sport Demon up front and an Angel GT at the rear. The third variant, which will be launched in a couple of months will have a Bosch dual channel ABS and Pirelli tyres.
The Engine specification consists of a 200cc engine producing 20.5Ps from the carburetted version, while the fuel injected version produces 21Ps from the same mill. The torque ratings however, are same for both fuelling systems, and stands at 18.1Nm. The FI version accelerates from 0-60kmph in 3.9 seconds while the carburetted version does the same in 3.95 seconds. While, the 0-100kmph numbers are same 12 seconds for both variants.
The prices for the Apache RTR200 4V variants start from INR 88,990 Ex-Showroom Delhi and are supposed to maxed out at 1.15 lakhs for the ABS equipped version, while the FI version comes in at INR 1.07 lakhs Ex-Showroom Delhi.
