This May had been good for almost every two-wheeler manufacturer. Chennai based TVS Motor Company is no exception here. Where it almost doubled its figures in three-wheelers, it did also sell 2,01,234 two-wheelers this May which is 26% more than what it sold last year including exports.
The number of two-wheelers sold in domestic market stood at 1,74,234 units last month, which is up by 24% from 1,40,056 units TVS sold in the same month one year ago.
Scooters sold this May rose by 60% to 53,924, as against 33,747 units a year ago.
Motorcycles grew at a lesser pace with 28 per cent to 85,475 units in last month as compared to 66,606 units sold a year ago.
