TVS Jupiter ZX to be priced at INR 50,012, official report

According to the ongoing reports, TVS motors is planning to launch the top end variant of its highly successful Jupiter scooter in India which will be named as Jupiter ZX. It will be equipped with new features including front disc brakes and fresh body decals. For all of those unaware, Jupiter has overtaken Hero Maestro in terms of sales in the month of July to become second highest selling scooter in India and last month 43,617 units of the same were sold following Honda Activa which is the top selling scooter of all time.

The soon to be launched top end variant will be equipped with a220mm disc brake at the front as standard. While the mechanicals will remain untouched on the new Jupiter and it will still derive power from the same 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, petrol engine that churns out almost 8.1bhp of power and 8Nm of torque. Jupiter’s engine is mated to a CVT gearbox to ensure flawless performance. TVS claims a maximum fuel efficiency of 62km/L on this scooter. According to the company’s official price list the new Jupiter ZX will be priced at INR 50,012 which will be almost INR 3000 costlier than the current Jupiter.
