TVS has launched the 2014 Wego scooter at a price of Rs. 48,857 for its standard variant and Rs. 49,580 (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for disc brake equipped model. Unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo, the new Wego is a thoroughly updated version of its outgoing model and major changes include cosmetic updates, better suspension setup, and new 110cc engine, derived directly from the victorious Jupiter scooter. Thanks to the new piston with less friction technology and higher compression ratio, this CVT-i engine produces 8 BHP power and 8 Nm of torque while delivering a claimed mileage of 62 kmpl. TVS has also improved its ignition to avoid cold engine start problem.

Suspension duty gets done with telescopic suspension at front and traditional hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. The standard variant of the Wego comes with 130mm drum brake at both ends while a 200mm disc brake at the front is also available as an option.

The company has made the Wego to look appealing with new dual paint scheme, flashy graphics and black alloy wheels and exposed engine parts as well. The scooter is loaded with several convenience features like front storage space, a hook to carry packets at footboard, external fuel-filler cap and digital instrument console. The company has also redesigned its seat to improve the comfort level for rider.

TVS aiming the Wego to counter rising competition from the recently launched Suzuki Let's in India. The Wego is available across all the TVS dealerships.
