TVS introduced the XL Moped for the first time in 1980 and since then it has stood tall in the market. Super XL still runs on the traditional mechanism and it is still untouched with the latest technical gadgetry. XL Moped recently crossed the milestone of one crore sales. Its demand is quite high in Indian rural markets because of the fact that it is a very cheap mode of transport.
It runs on a 69.9cc, two-stroke, single cylinder engine which is petrol fueled. It produces a maximum power of 3.5bhp at 5000rpm and 5Nm of peak torque at 3500rpm. It weighs mere 66kgs and has is equipped with Telescopic Spring Type suspensions at the front and Swing Arm with Hydraulic Shocks at the rear. On this special occasion of one crore sales TVS came up with a special edition Super XL Moped that comes with special decals, a dual texture seat, exhaust cover and a chrome plated grab rail. The special edition Super XL Moped will be offered in Silver Grey and TiTanium Grey colors.
