The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motor Company has launched the Star City Plus in India. The new launch expands the manufacturer’s Star City line-up, which is quite popular in the commuter bike segment.
With the growing competition in the entry-level motorcycle segment, buyers are spoilt for choices. The manufacturer hence came up with the new variant, which was a much-needed boost to the company’s motorcycle portfolio with some refreshing style and premium looks to attract young generation buyers.
The new motorcycle is offered in dual-tone colour scheme, which includes three options - Black and Red, Black and Blue, Red and Black. The new variant features some cosmetic updates from the usual ones with a 3D chrome label and an all-black grab-rail. It features an auto headlamp on (AHO), digital instrument console, adjustable rear shock absorbers, tubeless tyres and a honeycomb side panel grills. It looks classically designed from the outset with sharper creases on the petrol tanks and the body. The improvement is seen in the way it is overall fitted and finished with high-quality materials.
The Star City Plus will continue to derive its power from the usual 110cc engine, which churns out a maximum power output of 8.3 bhp at 7,000 revolutions per minute against a peak torque of 8.7 Nm at 5,000 revolutions per minute. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox to transmit the power to the front wheel. The motorcycle is expected to return a mileage of 86 kmpl.
The new motorcycle from the manufacturer is priced at Rs. 50,534 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Being launched around the festive season. the company is expecting a good response from the market.
