TVS Motor's sales up by 23% in June 2014

Snapshot: The Chennai based manufacturer sold 2,02,177 units this June which is 23% more than what it sold last June

TVS Motor Company which is based out of Chennai reported a 23% growth this June over last year's. It sold 2,02,177 units this June as compared to 1,64,128 units it sold last year for the same period. The number of two-wheelers exported increased by 26% at 25,237 units against 20,020 units exported in June 2013.

The total number of two-wheelers sold increased by 23% from 1,57,351 units sold last June to 1,93,758 units sold this June. The growth in domestic two-wheeler market also was 23% as the sales recorded last June were 1,37,331 and this June were 1,68,521.

Scooter segment of TVS saw an impressive growth of 46% where TVS sold 56,524 units this June vis-a-vis 38,684 units sold in June 2013. Motorcycles grew by 27% increasing from 59,015 units to 74,772 units sold this June.
