  • TVS Ntorq 125 Facelift due after launch last year.

  • It will get an LED headlamp, LED DRLs.

  • New graphics also on the cards.

  • Might get BS Vl ready engine.

The TVS Ntorq 125 was launched last year and has been a very successful model for the manufacturer. Its set of features, looks, and performance combined made it very appealing. Now, however, a facelift is near and here’s what we know about it.

There will be new graphics. This is a no-brainer – with a facelift comes new graphics. There might be more colors as well; the Ntorq had launched with only matte colors and added glossy colors later. It would make sense for TVS to add one or two more options to the range. The front apron design might change a little bit; there is scope for the Ntorq to look a little leaner, and TVS might grab this opportunity to sharpen its looks. There will be a new headlamp – an LED one, like everyone else is upgrading to, or already has upgraded to. What’s different about the Ntorq is that it won’t be an always-on headlamp, but will sport LED DRLs that are light guides. They’re T-shaped, like the tail lamp. It will retain its all-digital instrument cluster and Bluetooth connectivity, of course.

Mechanically it is possible that the engine will be upgraded to a BS Vl ready one, but that will mean a significant price hike six months before it is truly necessary. So TVS might hold that off until closer to the mandatory date, which is April 2020. It would also be a pleasant surprise if TVS added a little more capacity to the fuel tank since a heavy-handed rider doesn’t get much range out of a tank of petrol in the Ntorq, thanks to its enjoyable performance.

The TVS Ntorq 125 competes with the Honda Grazia in the premium 125cc scooter segment.
