TVS unveiled a new electric scooter concept at the Auto Expo 2018, called the Creon e-scooter. The two-wheeler gets a 12kW electric motor powered by three lithium-ion batteries. According to the company claims, the e-scooter can sprint to 60km/h from rest within 5.1 seconds and can offer san impressive range of 80km. It also comes with a rapid charging option, which enables 80 per cent charging in just an hour. While the motor has been laid out in a compact manner, the batteries have been designed to offer high charge per volume.
Giving prominence to connectivity, TVS has equipped the Creon e-scooter with an array of features, that have been developed jointly by TVS and Intel. One of the vital techs on the Creon include a TFT screen which displays the speedometer, battery health status, tachometer, battery charge, odometer and trip meter.
Furthermore, the e-scooter also gets several app-enabled and other prominent features including Cloud connectivity, three riding modes, park assist, GPS, regenerative braking, geofencing and safety/anti-theft. Along with these tech, the e-scooter also packs a smartphone charger and an under-seat compartment for storage, good enough to keep a full-face helmet.
The TVS Creon e-scooter is built on the aluminium perimeter frame and it rides on the diamond cut alloy wheels with meaty TVS Temora tyres. For stopping power, the concept gets disc brakes at the front as well as rear. In addition, it comes with a single channel ABS.
