Performing in a segment that is always driven by value for money is liking walking on a thin wire. One wrong move and its over before you realise. TVS Motors, it seems, is leaving no stone unturned to make its fortune grow by leaps and bounds.
TVS Motor sold 17.52 lakh units in FY 2014 and in FY 2015 it plans to touch 22 lakh figure which will make it a growth of 25%. In the last financial year, TVS was at the fourth spot in the two-wheeler segment after Hero MotoCorp, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India and Bajaj Auto with a market share of 12%. This year TVS plans to boost its market share to 14.5%
"We are getting strong volumes from our newly-launched scooter Jupiter and the all-new Star City+, which would further push up volumes in the current fiscal," J S Srinivasan, Vice President - Sales, TVS Motor Company told reporters in Delhi.
