As we inch closer to its global unveil on January 20th, 2016, the TVS Apache 200 is making its way into the news sections regularly. With a slew of spy shots and information, now news is coming from Indonesia that TVS has started teasing the upcoming Apache 200 on its Indonesian website.
Expected to be powered by 200cc single cyclinder, air-oil cooled engine rumoured to produce around 26Ps and 22Nm having a 5-speed transmission system and with class leading NVH parameters, the Apache 200 will lock horns with the Bajaj Pulsar AS200 and the upcoming 200NS FI while having its eyes set on the thrown of the Duke 200 by KTM.
Braking will be discs both at the front and at the rear with a TVS's traditional Petal Discs. There are also rumours surrounding the presence of two variants of the Apache 200, one being a standard affair while the other having ABS installed for added safety. However, it is not clear what rubber the model intended for the Indian market will come wearing at the launch, as test mules wearing TVS SriChakra tires as well as meatier and stickier Pirelli tyres consistently. However, it is being reported that the Indian spec rubber would be a 90/90 front and a 130/70 rear.
Expected to be a rather light weighted naked, the Apache should weigh around 140kg held together by a Double Cradle Synchro Stiff chassis. It will also come fitted with a all new headlight design direction for the Apache range of power commuters by TVS Motors. The all new LED DRL design is probably going to be the most striking aesthetic element of the new motorcycle.
Alongwith the new DRL's the bike will also get an all new meter console which is a completely digital affair and as per the spy shots looks pretty neat and sporty. Expect the bike to arrive at a price tag of around INR 1-1.10 Lakh Ex-Showroom Delhi .
