According to the reports, the Indo-German collaboration has already started working on their second project which will be a middle-weight adventure tourer motorcycle. It is rumoured to be based on BMW G 650 GS. The new adventure tourer will not be manufactured in India, on the other hand chances are that it will be manufactured in Germany and assembled here in the Hosur based production facility of TVS. It will be powered with a twin-cylinder 600cc unit and will be placed in a price bracket of INR 6-7 lakhs.
The middle weight adventure tourer segment in India is still an empty ground and the only manufacturer which is currently selling in this segment is Triumph Motorcycle. Though Kawasaki is rumoured to launch its highly awaited Versys 650 in India this December (but it is still a rumour and no official confirmation has been made). It will take almost a year or more for TVS-BMW to actually come up with the concept model of the same, with very less competitors in the game, it is actually the correct time to play the cards. Apart from all these manufacturers, Royal Enfield is all set to unveil its highly awaited adventure tourer, Himalayan in coming few month.
