Twenty-Two Motors displayed its e-scooter, Flow at the Auto Expo 2018 which is yet to officially go on sale in the Indian market. The company announced its plan to roll out the e-scooter in the country priced at Rs 74,740 (ex-showroom, Delhi) at the biennial event. Caught testing for the first time since its unveiling last year, Tata Motors Flow India launch seems to be inching closer.
In a bid to strengthen its position in the electric two-wheeler segment, the company tied up with a Taiwanese automobile manufacturer, Kymco last year. The focal point of the technology transfer partnership is to bring Kymoc’s lonex swappable battery solutions to the Twenty-Two Motors Flow, whereas, Kymox will make its way into the domestic market.
According to media reports, the prototype spotted testing in the country featured Kymoc’s lonex battery swapping technology. Power on the e-scooter is derived from a 2.1 kWh battery pack that puts out a top power of 90 Nm. As for range, the e-scooter promises an impressive range of 160 km and it is claimed to offer a top speed of 60 km/h. The battery pack on the Twenty-Two Motors Flow can be charged up to 70 per cent within an hour through a fast charger.

The braking set-up on the Twenty-Two Motors Flow e-scooter comprises disc brakes at both ends. It additionally gets combined braking system (CBS), IP65 water and dust protected, and 3-part tubeless tyres. The suspension system on the e-scooter includes telescopic forks at the front and dual hydraulic shockers at the back. Aside from the aforementioned features, it also gets Cruise and Drag riding modes, Bluetooth connectivity, AI capabilities, LED lights and Reverse projector headlamps among others. As for utility space, it gets under-storage space which can accommodate two helmets. The Twenty-Two Motors Flow e-scooter uses a DC motor sourced from Bosch. The motor makes use of brake energy recovery system which facilitates ideal performance.
