Since Triumph launched the Speed Triple back in 1994 it has been one of the most prominent naked superbikes till date. Recently two new Speed Triples have been caught getting tested before the completely new Speed Triple that is expected to arrive in 2018. Not only it is among the classiest sounding motorcycles on earth but it is also known for delivering an exhilarating ride experience that few motorcycles are capable of. Since 1994 when it was first launched, Speed Triple has gone through a lot of big changes but the base elements from the original Speed Triple are still visible in the present Speed Triples.
The new Speed Triple has gone some clearly visible changes as now the new Speed Triple has replaced old controversial fox-eye shaped twin headlamps with more round pear shaped headlights. Even the height of the headlight assembly is now reduced a bit and is lowered compared to the current model. The turn indicators are different and the fly-screen cowl is redesigned in the new Speed Triple. The fuel tank is changed slightly and tail is reshaped while radiator on the new Speed Triple gets a new cowl. The header pipes are new and are clearly visible. The clutch and alternator covers get a new triangular Triumph’s logo. There were some rumors that the new Speed Triple would feature keyless ignition but conventional key is clearly seen on the spied models. We hope that Triumph will unveil the new Speed Triples before the end of this year.
