The Indian all round commercial vehicle manufacturer Force Motors, was established in 1958 and is one of the most noted and homegrown brand of India. They recently entered into the personal car market, with their first ever SUV called the Force One. The Force One did see success in the Indian market, thanks to the reputation the company had developed over the decades.
The company is all set to launch two new variants of the now existing Force One, within a span of one month. The Managing Director of Force Motors, Mr. Prasan Firodia said that the new launches will offer customers with different price sections to choose from.
In just a span of 19 months since the Force One was unveiled, the company has sold over 2,600 units. The actual target of the company was 4000 units, as quoted by Mr. Prasan Firodia. He also said that adding two new variables to the Force One family and 3 variants to its off-roader the Gurkha, which will start sales within the end of August, will increase the sales in the Indian car market at the same time will give the company a fleet of cars.
The two new models are called the EX (Executive) and SX (Superior), both cars will be equipped with daytime running LEDs. The EX will make its stand as the base model of the Force One. The EX is powered by an engine and gearbox derived from the Mercedes BS3 OM616 platform, this is a 2.6 liter turbo diesel block, that has the maximum output of 81 bhp, and 230 NM of Torque. The EX is expected to be priced at 8.99 lakhs ex-showroom Mumbai.
The SX is the top end variant of the Force One, so the existing will become the mid variant. Now the SX is powered by a CR (common rail) FM Tech 2.2 liter diesel locomotive, that was created under the supervision of Daimler AG of Germany. The Suspension is also tweaked by another celebrated brand, Lotus Engineering U.K . The SX will have a few extra stuff like, ABS (Anti locking braking system) with EBD (Electronic brake force distribution), overturn parking sensors and many more. The SX is going to have a price tag of 11.98 lakhs ex-showroom Mumbai.
