Skoda has revealed the pricing for the all-new Superb sedan in UK. The new Skoda Superb made its global debut in Prague on February 17, 2015 and had its first public appearance at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The India-bound 2016 Skoda Superb has been offered in four trims: S, SE, SE L Executive, and Laurin & Klement. The prices start from £18,640 (Around Rs. 17.61 Lakhs) for the entry-level S variant and go as high as £28,740 (Around Rs. 27.15 Lakhs) for the range-topping L&K trim.
The new Superb will be available with seven engine options with additional option of DSG automatic and 4x4 transmissions on selected models. The engine range consists of four TSI petrol and three TDI diesel units with outputs ranging from 118.4bhp for the entry level diesel 1.6L TDI engine to 276.2bhp for the new 2.0L TSI petrol engine. At 4,861mm long and 1,864mm wide, the new Superb is 28mm longer and 47mm wider than its predecessor, while the 2,841mm wheelbase is 80mm longer, allowing for greater space within the passenger compartment. The boot is 30 litres larger than before, at 625 litres, expanding to a cavernous 1,760 litres with the rear seat backs folded. Despite the increased size, the new ŠKODA Superb is up to 75kg lighter than its predecessor, due to the MQB underpinning.
The standard exterior features available with every Skoda Superb variant are 16-inch Orion alloy wheels, Body coloured door mirrors and door handles, Halogen headlights with daytime running lights, Front fog lights, and LED rear lights. Inside the cabin, every Superb variant boasts a three spoke leather multi-function steering wheel, Cloth upholstery, Electric parking brake, Removable lamp in boot etc. to name a few. As for safety and security, it comes loaded with ESC, ABS, EBV, MSR, ASR, EDS, HBA, DSR, RBS, CBC, Multi-Collision Brake (MKB) and Autohold, and Pedestrian protection. For music lovers, it has a swing radio with 5-inch touchscreen, USB and SD card slot, Bluetooth, Maxi-DOT trip computer, Light assistant, and Stop/Start Button.
