The legendary American automobile manufacturer Chrysler officially announced the introduction of the refreshed 2014 Jeep Compass in the United Kingdom. The Compass is a compact SUV manufactured by Jeep/Chrysler, the first Compass rolled off the assembly line in the year 2007, and has been in production ever since. This SUV along with its sibling the Patriot are the entry-level compacts of the Jeep brand. Now the new 2014 version will be available for the citizens of the United Kingdom as it has officially arrived in the country’s showrooms.
The 2014 Compass is available in 3 models and are differentiated by their engine trims, and they are, the Sport, North and limited. The North is the new variant that joined in with the already existing other two. The 2014 variants as mentioned earlier comes with 3 engine trims, a 2.2 liter turbo diesel with 161 BHP and 320 NM of Torque. The other one is a 2.4 liter petrol block with 168 BHP and 220 NM of Torque, and the 3rd one is a 2.0 liter also a petrol block with 154 BHP and 190 NM of Torque. The 2014 Compass will now come with a total of 6 colors for the Europeans, Bright White, Black, True Blue, Billet Silver, Maximum Steel and an extremely limited color called Granite Chrystal.
The exterior has been updated by a bit, which is totally noticeable, such as the front grille, halogen headlights with inner bezel, chrome fog lamp bezel, rear tail lamp with smoked inner bezel and a plated chrome supplement on the tailgate slender applique and new 18 inch face painted aluminum rims. The interior has also been given a quick makeover, it now has dark slate grey pricked leather, center armrests and console lid covered in soft-touch ingredients, graphical IP, and satin chrome finish covers the shifter, center bezel and pull-cups.
