UM motorcycles imported 125-135cc cruiser in India for R&D purpose

We have already did couple of new regarding the UM motorcycles and its product range that will be offered in India. US based two-wheeler manufacturer has imported a 125-135cc motorcycle, Duramax, that will be the only cruiser motorcycle in this segment. Duramax will be competing against a host of 125-135cc commuter bikes. This bike will be powered from a 133.2cc engine that will churn out near 10.42bhp of power at 8500rpm and 9.7 Nm of torque at 7500rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. This bike weighs near 112kgs dry and the rear luggage grill has a load capacity of 70kgs.
Talking about the dimensions, Duramax measures 2000 mm in length, 820 mm in width and 1050 in height with a wheelbase of 1300 mm and a ground clearance of 125 mm. The Duramax is equipped with elongated seats, raised handle bars and long front forks. Bike sure does carry a good presence being a small cc capacity motorcycle. The bike is equipped with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes unit, while the motorcycle rolls on an 18-inch tire at the front while a 16-inch rubber does duty at the rear, mounted on aluminum rims. This bike will fall into price range of INR 60,000 and will be launched late in 2017 while the company is planning to unleash a 400cc motorcycle in India first that will be equipped with features like ABS and will be offered around the price tag INR 1.5 lakhs.
