Are you a cruiser guy? If yes! Then this might be good news for you. The Miami based motorcycle manufacturing company, “UM Motorcycles” are entering into Indian Motorcycle market by introducing their 400cc cruiser motorcycle that too at a very good price of INR 1.5 lakhs. Recently Indian Motorcycle market has seen a serious boom in the industry with competition getting stiff at every segment.

With manufactures like Ducati, Benelli and KTM fighting head to head a new manufactures makes entry into Indian motorcycle market. Um motorcycles will be known as UML Motorcycles in India. They have already partnered with the Noida(U.P) based Lohia Auto for their business plans in India. Joji John, the Head of Sales for UML have confirmed that the first offering from UML will be a 400cc, single-cylinder engine powered cruiser or it might be also be a Scrambler.

While company is interested in manufacturing their motorcycles at their Kashipur facility in Uttarakhand plant and will not be taking the CKD or CBU route for India, this approach indicates that company is looking for very long term innings in India. Company plans to produce 1 lakh units per year and to launch a new motorcycle every 6 months. Manufactures like Royal Enfield and Bajaj are about to get some serious competition now. UML plans to showcase their line-up that includes naked street bikes, supersports bikes, and cruiser motorcycles, dirtbikes and scooters as well at the 2016 Auto Expo in February 2016.
