Bajaj’s upcoming Pulsar 220F has been caught on test featuring an ABS. The spy image has surfaced days after the smaller, Bajaj Pulsar 150 ABS was caught on camera. While the spied image shows an ABS, the rear disc brake is missing. Hence, there is yet no clarity if the bike will come equipped with a dual-channel ABS or a single channel unit. Just to brush up your memory, the Pulsar 150 was spied with a dual channel set-up which implies the Pulsar 220F could also get the same unit. Among other changes, expect the 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 220F ABS to come with different decals that are missing in the current model.
While most of the styling elements will be carried over, the bike is also expected to retain the same engine set-up. That said, the upcoming 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 220F ABS will continue to feature the 220 cc, oil-cooled engine tuned to put out top power of 21 bhp along with peak torque of 19 Nm. The engine will come paired to a five-speed unit.
On the feature front, the 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 220F ABS will receive clip-on handlebars, dual projector headlamps, semi-digital instrumentation and LED tail-lamps among others. It is expected that Bajaj will launch the bike during the festive season which is considered to be an auspicious time in India to buy a new vehicle. As for the pricing, the new 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 220F ABS is estimated to be offered at an additional premium of Rs 10,000 over the standard model. While the dealers are likely to commence bookings for the bike soon, the deliveries are expected to start within few days.
