The motorcycle was co-developed with BMW Motorrad and it is manufactured at the brand's Hosur plant. The fully-faired Apache RR 310 was first showcased at Auto Expo - The Motor Show 2016 as Akula 310R concept.
The TVS Apache RR 310 is appreciated for its shark-inspired design, performance and build quality. For the update, TVS recently called the RR 310 owners for a complimentary update. The free-of-cost update included new chain roller, improved ECU, increased bar-end weights and an all-new visor. This hints at the possibility of the upcoming 2019 TVS Apache RR 310 getting far more changes or updates which will be substantial in nature.
The ongoing 2018 Apache RR 310 gets the propulsion from a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 313 CC motor. The same motor also powers the BMW Motorrad's G 310 R and G 310 GS. The reverse-inclined motor produces 33.5 bhp of peak power and 27.3 Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and does the 0-60 kmph speed sprint in just 2.93 seconds. The TVS Apache RR 310's top speed is 160 kmph.
The flagship TVS bike is equipped with a slew of features like - slipper clutch, bi-LED headlamps and tail lamps, fuel-injected motor, alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres and a dual-channel ABS unit. The current price of the Apache RR 310 is Rs 2.23 lakh (ex-showroom) and rivals the likes of KTM RC 390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300. The TVS Apache RR 310 is the most affordable sports bike out of the lot and sits above the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400. We expect the bike to get a premium price tag once unveiled in the backdrop of all the above-mentioned updates.
