Japanese automaker Suzuki that unveiled the 2014 Swift hatchback at the recently concluded 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, is all set to bring in the car to the Indian car market in 2014. The India's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki is working on an all-new Swift which will come to India in 2017, but the company need a refresh model in near future to stand firm against the increasing competition. The company's top selling B+ hatchback gets some cosmetic changes, a range of new features, and slightly tweaked engine to offer more efficiency.
Set to be launched by the first half of 2014, the refurbished Swift will features LED daytime running lights, new front bumper, and the LED treatment flows to the roof mounted stop lamp at the rear. The top end model of the new hatchback will get the 16-inch alloy wheels, which is missing in the current model. Moreover, the company will also introduce an all-new Boost Blue Pearl metallic colour.
Though the dashboard and interiors of the new Swift will remain unchanged, the company will offer a more upmarket upholstery for the seats. Auto-up one touch function to the driver's side power windows, automatic headlamps, electrically adjustable side mirrors and few other features will also be offered with the 2014 Swift hatch. The engine configuration remains the same, however, the 1.3-litre Fiat Multijet turbo diesel engine will get some treatment to offer more fuel economy.
