With the start of a new year, manufacturers are ready with updated and refreshed versions of their vehicles and to set the momentum, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the updated version of its hot-selling Innova and the Fortuner 4X4 Automatic. The updated Innova will start at Rs 10.51 lakh and go upto Rs 15.80 lakh, while the Fortuner will set you back by Rs 24.26 lakh and go upto Rs 26.59 lakh ( Ex-showroom, Delhi). All the prices include the increased excise duty amounts.
Speaking on the occasion of the launch Mr. N Raja, Director & Senior Vice President (Sales & Marketing), Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. said; “The Innova and the Fortuner are two very successful products and both these vehicles are trend setters in the Indian automobile industry. Now with the Innova turning 10, it is indeed a proud moment for all of us at Toyota to have witnessed a successful journey for the past decade.”
Speaking of the changes, the new Innova now comes with wood finished steering wheel, newly designed seats (third and second rows can be folded now), new oak colored interiors, touch-screen display and much more. On the exterior front, the new Innova will get Dark Grey Dual Tone Alloys, new front grille, ORVM's with integrated turn signals. The new Innova will also get standard airbags across all variants. Toyota promises a mileage of 13.31 km to a liter of diesel.
The other launch is a new Fortuner SUV, which now comes with a 4*4 Automatic variant. The earlier Fortuner came with AT transmission only in 2WD variants. The Fortuner 4×4 AT variant continues to be powered by a 3.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine capable of 171 PS (168.59 bhp) at 3,600 rpm. The Fortuner is now available in four distinct variants: 4×2 MT, 4×4 MT, 4×2 AT and 4×4 AT.
