Swedish automaker Volvo that launched the all new Volvo V40 Cross Country in the Indian market earlier this year, is now planning to roll out the facelifted XC60 and S60 within this month only. Our sources tell us that the launch will most probably take place on 23rd October. In terms of changes, both the S60 and XC60 receive the new family look, minor mechanical changes and improved equipment levels.
The S60 and XC60 get a new grille, revised front bumper with daytime running lights, differently designed headlamps, new tail lights and new alloy wheels. The front fascia of both the vehicles now gets the Volvo family look.
There are quite a few changes inside the cabin as well. A new seven-inch touch-screen multimedia system, TFT instrument panel and paddle shifters in automatic models are the features added to the models. The Volvo S60 also gets new interior trim and XC60 no more has black trim.
If we talk about the standard equipments, the S60 has adaptive cornering lights, while the XC60 will have torque vectoring. The S60 has been given an option of a lowered chassis for all its variants. There is no official word on the pricing, but we expect the prices to go up a little since the equipment list has now been increased and the vehicles come as CBUs.
