Mercedes is all set to make a strong start for the Mercedes GLA in the United States and the brand is hoping to keep up with their momentum with a series of upgrades to the 2016 model. For the first and foremost buyers, Mercedes will offer additional standard equipment including a dual-zone climate control system, a push-button ignition, and seats with a cushion length adjustment.
The GLA also gets a new infotainment system with a larger 7-inch display and a media interface and pre-wiring for Garmin Map Pilot navigation. Apart from the new standard equipment, Mercedes has revamped some packages and options such as a power passenger seat - are now available as a stand-alone option. Customers can also order a new Kryptonite Green metallic exterior, but these changes are limited and the gray leather upholstery that used to be in the previous model has also been replaced by a new beige/black option.
Interesting part comes under the hood, the combination of powerful-distinctive design as well as superior engine power and driving performance is unique and packed with a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine dishing out 360 HP of power and 450 Nm of torque on the road. This enables the all-wheel drive version to bolt 0-100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds. Whereas, the entry level GLA gets turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine connected exclusively to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that produces 208 HP and 349 Nm of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, but an all-wheel drive is also offered as an option.
Mercedes is gearing up and more focused with its upcoming products to keep up with its German competitors.
