Vespa, the variant of scooters manufactured by the Italian motor company, Piaggio, is all set to launch its Vespa 946 Emporio Armani limited edition and 70th anniversary edition on 15th of November, which was earlier scheduled to launch in October, but was postponed. The new limited edition is jointly developed by Piaggio and Giorgio Armani, based on the older Vespa 946.
The limited edition Vespa 946 Emporio Armani marks the 40th anniversary since the foundation of Giorgio Armani, whereas, the 70th anniversary scooter celebrates the company's grand milestone. The limited edition scooters will be seen in a premium colour, grey wheels and brown coloured leather upholstery covering the seat. Moreover, it will flaunt the Emporio Armani logo both, at the back and at the front, just above the LED headlamp. Apart from this, the handling and safety are not compromised with. The Anti-lock Braking System, anti-slip regulator, traction controlling system, Michelin tyres and 220mm disc brakes for both the front as well as the rear wheel will negotiate with all the safety concerns.
Looking at the current market for scooters, this special edition scooter will be powered by a 125cc, four-stroke engine with three valves and single cylinder. This engine will churn out a power of 11.7bhp at 8,250 revolutions per minute and a maximum torque of 10Nm at 7,000 revolutions per minute.
The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani was first displayed at the Auto Expo 2016. Hence, keeping in mind the sublime sophistication that the Emporio Armani brand presents, this limited edition Vespa 946 Emporio Armani scooter will be the most expensive scooter in the market in all times, and is expected to launch with a high price tag of 8 lakhs INR at a retail price point.
